In these economic times, it’s easy to be concerned about finding a job and maintaining job security. South College offers health, business and education programs that make job seekers more marketable.
Enrollment has increased in those programs, and health care and education fields – which are typically called “recession proof” - have seen significant increases.
Enrollment in the T.E.A.C.H. program for those seeking a license to teach elementary education grades K through 6 set a record.
In health care, nursing and imaging science are in high demand. Nurses are always needed, and we have a strong program. We have good success placing students.
We like to say that South College educates students for selected careers in high-demand fields. These programs certainly match that goal.
