South College has received approval from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) to launch its Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program, allowing the school to proceed with its plans to begin its inaugural class.
We are thrilled to welcome students to our new South College School of Pharmacy. In January of 2010, we submitted an application for pre-candidate status to the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). This past Monday, we received notice that we have been granted approval to launch our doctor of pharmacy degree program.
This is great news, not only for South College but also for the community. This new program offers a unique educational opportunity in this area and will bring faculty and students from all over the country to Knoxville. (more…)


South College has a great service record — military service that is.
Funding a college education can be a daunting task, considering rising tuition and expenses.




A young man came into my office the other day. He said he wanted to thank me personally for his experience at South College and the success he has had securing employment after graduation. It was an ideal opportunity to see the school from a student’s perspective.
Last week we began demolition inside the former Goody’s corporate headquarters on Parkside Drive, to convert the office space into our new Parkside Centre Learning Site. We will occupy approximately 85,000 square feet in the property’s “west wing,” which includes a 200-seat auditorium.
Twenty years may be a long time, but it has gone by in the blink of an eye.
